Military Field Hospitals
Military mobile field hospitals constitute a key component of the military medical support system, providing progressively increasing diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical capabilities in the area of operations. In accordance with the NATO medical doctrine AJP-4.10, the offering includes modular military solutions at Role 1, Role 2, and Role 3 levels, enabling the implementation of the full chain of medical care in operational conditions.
At each level of these hospitals, solutions may include:
- pneumatic tents or frame tents,
- container-based modules with expandable options,
- or hospital units integrated into vehicles.
ROLE 1 – LEVEL 1 OF MEDICAL SUPPORT
Direct Medical Support
- Providing immediate medical support in the area of military operations.
- Performing life-saving procedures and conducting medical triage of casualties.
- Stabilization of the wounded and preparation for medical evacuation (MEDEVAC).
- No hospitalization capability – activities limited to emergency life-saving care.
ROLE 2 – LEVEL 2 OF MEDICAL SUPPORT
Enhanced Medical Support / Emergency Surgery
- Providing emergency surgery in field conditions (Damage Control Surgery).
- Performing basic diagnostics and short-term hospitalization.
- Continued stabilization of patients after surgical procedures.
- Preparation of casualties for evacuation to Role 3 facilities.
ROLE 3 – LEVEL 3 OF MEDICAL SUPPORT
Field Hospital (Tent & Container Complex)
- Providing full hospital care in field conditions.
- Performing specialized surgical procedures and providing intensive care (ICU).
- Conducting laboratories and imaging diagnostics in a field environment.
- Providing medium-term hospitalization and preparing patients for strategic evacuation.
